Supporting aspiring professional musicians and seasoned veterans by faithfully reproducing the classics of rock's greatest artists and bands.
Musician Mixers brings an exciting twist to local-area music scenes through uniquely curated shows and events in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland. We bring audiences homegrown concerts that showcase classic music from iconic bands and artists all performed by some of the areas finest professional musicians. Participating musicians range from up-and-coming artists to seasoned veterans and the result is an amazing live experience for performers and audiences alike.
Bringing together "transitory" bands made up from a wide-range of professional musicians from various playing backgrounds, our mission is simple: to temporarily shift the performance experience of musicians from their usual bandmates and song catalogs to a range of new players and musical territory. Event themes include Artist Retrospectives and Classic Albums; everything from AC/DC to Pink Floyd to Frank Zappa. Musician Mixers is dedicated to creating unique paying gigs for professional performers of all genres.

Musician Mixers events are made up of:
- A pre-booked band comprised of an existing band or a mix of local-area professional musicians who've signed up in advance for the curated performance event they want to participate in.
- A hand-picked opening act featuring an up-and-coming local-area band who will kickoff the evening's musical showcase and festivities.
- Headlining event bands are made up of musicians who self-select into an event and include but are not limited to (based on the material being performed) drummers, guitarists, bassists, keyboardists and vocalists.
- There are no formal auditions but there are three, three-hour (mandatory) rehearsals so it's important participating musicians can put in their individual practice time to prepare for the rehearsals and show.
- To participate as a headlining event musician you must either be a professional musician with credentials to back it up (songwriting credits, studio recording artist, freelance gigging/touring musician, etc.) or, in some cases, received approval by our booking staff. Your completed application does not guarantee participation.
- Participation requires you come to rehearsals and the show ready to perform (i.e., know the songs and your parts) with individual playing slots filled through an online application process with Musician Mixers hand selecting the final participants.
- Headlining band members are paid for their rehearsal and event performance time with support/opening acts receiving exposure to new audiences.
Booking Standards & Artist Commitment
Musician Mixers and participating musicians' success depends on our event performers reliability, professionalism, experience and talent. We require musicians who are interested in a particular event to complete a band member application form each time they want to be involved in a specific show. We do this to ensure the event you've expressed interest in is the best fit for the chosen material. It's a simple process and only takes a moment.
Please know that we fully support (and encourage) musicians who are well-versed in one genre or style of music to step outside their comfort zone and try something new, but we also want to ensure your particular talents and abilities are the best fit for a particular event's musical showcase. We do keep an open mind when selecting musicians and always consider each application on a case-by-case basis.
Please remember, if you make the decision to get involved with a Musician Mixers event (and are approved to participate in the event) you are committing to the end-goal; learning your respective material ahead of the scheduled rehearsals and you'll be ready to perform come show night. We vet all of our event musicians on their reputation in the community and their record for showing up on time and holding to commitments. We sincerely want this to be a positive experience for everyone involved.

Get Involved
We always publish the events we're planning to host three-months prior to the date they're scheduled to happen. This ensures musicians have adequate time to apply, plan and schedule for their involvement and learn their individual playing parts. We currently host one event per month with priority given to the Seattle, Tacoma and Portland areas.
